Out spammed, by a triple spam article
February 12, 2008
If you pulled me aside and in confidential tones asked me how I’m feeling right now, to be honest, I’d have to (in similarly confidential tones) reply in a negative fashion as to my current state of mind.
I’ve been out spammed.
A couple of days after I launched my site, thinking I’ve got the spam genre all to myself, and I see on the Sydney Morning Herald web site (I’m an internationalist, and to be honest I’m not a huge fan of the Argentine media) not one but two articles on related to spam. Completely out spammed. I’m not going to infer in any way that the journalist is a spammer, but a couple of days after my post I see this article called
Spam, spam, spam: best and worst
which has clearly outspammed me. I have counted and of the 338 words (including title) there are 18 instances of the word spam and 5 of spam related words (total 23) giving a keyword density of 6.8%. EXACTLY the same, as I’ve calculated mine to be for keyword = spam in my article of the other day. I had hoped to so stuff my article with spam that no one could have out spammed it.
Just shows the rank amateur that I am and the tough yet spammy road that it’s going to be to even get noticed by Google when newspapers are also in the business of spam writing.
Not only, but on the same day there was a second headline telling the world that Spamalot replaces Britney with Posh - and I’m not even on Google yet. Hopefully my spam filled article can get some ‘cut through’ - time will tell.
Have a stonker!
Jolly Shonker.
